Where are all those good photos members have? We are the LionsWe meet the needs of our local communities and the world. Our 1.3 million men and women in 205 countries and geographic areas conduct vision and health screenings, build parks, support eye hospitals, award scholarships, assist youth, provide help in time of disaster and much more. Lions provide a forum for the open discussion of all matters of public interest provided, however that all partisan politics and secterian religion shall not be debated by club members. Becoming a LionLions club members are men and women who strive to make a difference in
their local community as well as in communities worldwide. Their
volunteer efforts go beyond the support of vision care, to addressing
unmet health and education needs worldwide. |
Community ServiceCLUB ACTIVITIES <Past and Present. Bingo Sessions, mainly supported by the elderly, Sausage Sizzles, the sale of Christmas Cakes, Lions Mints and Sheep Poo as a garden fertilizer and similar projects has raised funds to support cash donations to Lions Cancer research, Lions Save Sight, Lions Help to Hear and similar charities, including scholarships to children in the 10 Government Primary Schools in the Armadale area, helping to sponsor children or youths from the Armadale area who represent the district or state in competitions, the Father Christmas Sleigh Runs, distributing lollies to children and in special circumstances, assistance to individuals.
